Chapter 1

-- The alarm buzzer went off, 8:00 A.M. Noon turns over to her table to shut off the alarm clock. Yawning and
stretching at the same time, looks over to her chair to see a package. "What's this?" Thought to herself. "Your
secret admirer?" Says Aum walking in Noon's room. "Is this from you, Aum?" Noon asked, still yawning. "No
way. What'd I buy you and besides, your birthday isn't until September." Aum replies brightly. Noon unwraps
the gift box and tugs underneath the box to find a note. "Sorry about the other night, hope I can make it up to
you by taking you out to dinner tonight. Love, Matt." "Who's it from?" Aum asks excitedly. "No one." Noon
replies, throwing the box and note on her bed. Aum waddles her way to the bed and reads the note. "What
happened?" Aum asks, trying to open the gift. "Don't open it, Aum. I'm giving it back to him." Noon told her.
She walked in her walk-in closet to find her cutest outfit. "Why?" Asked Aum. "Look, it's something I just can't
tell you right now. Don't you have work to go to or something?" Noon walked out in her cutest jean skirt and
white top. "You're going to work in that?" Asked Aum. "You ask too much questions." The girls walk over to
their cars and exchange hugs. "You call me tonight, okay. We've got plans, remember?" Aum told Noon.
"Yes, I remember. What time is the party again?" Noon asks. "Be there at 9 P.M. sharp. I better not see you
in this skirt. It's a formal party so look sophisticated." Aum replies, as she gets in the car and strolls off.

Meanwhile, Noon arrives at work. Struggling to find a parking space, calls her boss to tell him she'll be a few
minutes late. "Finally!" Says Noon. She grabs her things from her back seat and realized she forgotten Matt's
gift in her room. "Damnit, now what am I gonna do? I can't go back now...." Thinks to herself. *Beep Beep* A
black mercedes parks in front of her car and out comes Amy. Amy and Noon has been rivalries since working
in the same department. Amy dated Matt a few years ago and is out to snatch him again. "I see Mr. Rolland
[their boss] is paying you quite well." Amy snaps at Noon sarcastically. Noon ignores Amy and continues to
grab the rest of her stuff from her car. "Has little miss Noon gone deaf?" Amy asks sarcastically, and whacks
Noon's papers from her hands. "Bitch! Who the hell do you think you are? What were you and Matt doing two
nights ago?" Amy looks at No on with hatred. Noon bend over to pick up her things on the ground without
saying a word. Noon got up with stacks of papers in her hands and looked at Amy, who was bright red. "Look
Amy, next time YOU tell your MAN to stay away from me." Noon told her and walked away. Amy's face turned
bright red, with her fist curled up couldn't do anything but watch Noon walk away.

"Hi Jessica." As Noon walked pass one of the secretary in front of her desk. "How's it going Noon?" Jessica
replied. "You look nice today, any special plans with you-know-who?" Jessica teased. Noon unraveled her
papers and stacked it neatly on top of her desk, with the rest of the work she had to do. "No. Just lunch with
my sister and some party she got invited to." Noon told her. "Party? Is it the one at the Pierre Palace Hotel?"
Jessica asks, while walking up to Noon's desk. "Yeah, how'd you know?" Noon asks with curiosity. "How'd I
know? That's one of those high-class parties!! Oh my gosh, and you might get to meet Kade Tarntup!"
Jessica says excitedly, twisting her hair. Noon had a curious smirk on her face but ignored Jessica's remark.
Who is Kade Tarntup? Thought to herself. Jessica heard footsteps and ran back to her desk and continued
her work. "Good morning Mr. Rolla nd." The girls cheerfully greeted their boss as he walks through their
desks. "Good morning girls. " Walking away with a smile, entered his office and was out-of-sight. Noon
started thinking of the name 'Kade Tarntup' and why it engraved in her mind. Suddenly, her phone rings and
she knew it was Matt. "Hello?" Noon answers. "Noon, did you get my gift? Look, I really want to apologize
about the other night and -- " Before Matt could finish his sentence, Noon cut him off. "Matt, I don't care what
happened about the other night. I don't want you to call me again." Silence. Noon was interrupted by another
call so she clicked Matt off. "Hello?" Noon says. "Noon, I got you a really hot dress for tonight! It's made by
Versace and it's calling your name, sis! I left it on your bed, okay." Aum declared. "Aum, do I really have to go
to this party? What or who is going to be there?" N oon asks. "Don't worry about it sis, you'll enjoy it." Aum
insisted. Noon wanted to ask her sister about the name Kade Tarntup and who he was. Aum began, "There's
this guy I want you to meet. He's a friend of Andrews'." Before Aum can finish what she was saying, they were
interrupted by Amy. Amy was standing in front of Noon with a wicked grin on her face. "Hey sis, I'll talk to you
later, okay." Noon told her sister and clicked off. Jessica was on the other end, ready to call the security.
Noon looked at Amy and asked, "What do you want?" Amy began to walk around Noon's desk and picked up
a photo of Aum and Noon. "I hear your sister's going to this party everyone's talking about. And let me guess,
you're going too?" Amy said sarcastically. Noon grabbed the photo from Amy's hand and place it back to its
spot. "What's it to you?" Noon asks sarcastically. "A party like this doesn't suit people like you, that's why.
Only the ones invited are allowed to attend." Amy snaps back. "Besides, Kade and Andrew will be there. You
and your sister can dream about getting 1 feet closer to them." Amy giggles and walks off with a smile on her
face. Again, the name Kade was brought up. Noon began to think to herself. "Who is Kade Tarntup? What's
so special about him?" Noon cleared up her mind and began to work. Today was only the start and tonight
was yet to come.
