Andrew Gregson, Amy Klinpratum Chapter 3 -- Aum was wandering around, pacing back and forth near the door waiting for her sister. Noon, on the other hand was stuck in traffic. "Damnit, Aum's going to kill me." Noon thought to herself. Suddenly, her phone rings. "Hello?" Noon says. "Noon, where are you?!? You have any idea what time it is? It's pass 9 and you're still not here yet." Aum snapped. "I'll be there in about 10 minutes. I'm almost there but traffic's in my way." Noon told her. "Alright, I want you here in 10 minutes! No later. Bye!" Aum said. Noon finally made it to the hotel and was having trouble looking for parking, yet again. What is it with me and parking spaces? Noon thought to herself. She was just in luck. She found a parking space next to a brand new blue Mercedes Benz. The car was blazing and shiny new. Rich brat, she thought. Noon walked into the hotel, greeted by an usher who offered to escort her upstairs. "No, thank you. I can walk upstairs myself. But thanks for offering." Noon told the kind usher. "As you wish mam." The usher said and walked away. Noon was amazed by the amazing decoration in the hotel. It was elegant and well-designed. There it is, Noon thought. The double-door was opened, with two ushers and securities standing in between. On the right, there was a table for guests to sign in. Feeling a little shaky and nervous, she decided to go outside for some air before entering the party. What am I doing here, Noon thought to herself. This isn't a place for me. I don't belong here. She kept thinking about the people inside. How will they treat her? How will they look at her? Noon was getting nervous. Unable to decide whether she should go in or not, she called her sister from her phone. "Aum, I don't think I should go in." Noon told her. "What? Where are you? I'll come get you." Aum told her sister. Although, she was nervous. Noon wanted to attend a high-class party for once in her life. To see what the big fuss was about. She held up her confidence and walked inside. Without realizing she was unknown to the people there, everyone stopped to stare at her as she walked in. The little rich daughters only looked at Noon with envy. Amy saw how the guys were glued to her beauty, became jealous. She wanted to grabbed her and slap her again and again. It made Noon more nervous as she walked to Aum's direction. It seem like forever just to reach to the Aum's table. Andrew saw Noon from a far dista nce. He tapped Kade on the shoulder, who was busy talking to one of his father's client. "Check her out, Kade." Andrew told him. "What man? Can't you see I'm busy." Kade grinned. "Look on your right, Kade. Check out the girl in the blue dress!" Andrew said. Kade was feeling annoyed by Andrew's childish behaviours about girls. He looked over his right shoulder to see Noon taking a seat next to Aum. His eyes was glued to her explicit beauty. Her blue dress glowed her cute wavy curls. He was stunned to see such beauty, a beauty he has yet to know. "Who is that?" Kade asked Andrew. "Who knows but damn she's fine!" Andrew said. Kade thought she was probably one of the girls out looking for a rich boy to date. A gold-digger, he thought to himself. "She's probably here with some old-rich fart." Kade smirked and turn back to his father's client. He still looked over his shoulders to check her out once in a while. Andrew couldn't take his eyes off of her. Neither did Kade, who was playing it cool. "Gosh, why is everybody staring at me Aum?" Noon asked her sister. "Look at you, my little sister. Who'd knew how beautiful you'd turn out?" Aum teased. "Shut up. Do I have something on my dress or something?" Noon asked sarcastically. Don wanted to meet Noon, but still couldn't resist Aum's beauty as well. Two beautiful sisters here by themselves, he thought. "Are you working with Aum, too?" Sindy asked Noon. Noon was still skeptical about the whole scenery. She didn't know what the rich folks do. Don and Sindy excused themselves to talk with a friend at another table. The orchestra started to play a slow ballet. "So is this how these rich people party?" Noon asks. "Seems pretty boring, sis." Noon and Aum started laughing. "Noon, look ahead of you. You see the guy in the black suit next to the white one?" Aum asked. "Yes. What about him?" Noon said. "Is that the one you -- " Before Noon could finish her sentence, Aum covered her sister's mouth with a silent shh. "Keep it down. He might hear you." Aum tol d her. Noon started to laugh. "What are you laughing at?" Aum snapped. "He's all the way over there, and you're over here whispering. You really think he can hear you?" Noon giggled. "Oh my gosh! He's looking over here." Aum said with embarrassment. She turned her head the other way, while Noon looked at him. Andrew gave her a smile. Noon looked left to right, thinking he was smiling at some other girls beside them. But, they were the only ones in that area. "She's ignoring me, Kade!" Andrew wined to Kade. "Why don't you ask her to dance? I'm sure she'll hop right up to dance with you. Any girl would be pleased to dance with you. Go ahead man." Kade insisted. "You think she'll dance with me?" Andrew asked curiously. "Andy, who are you again? Who is your father? What girl can turn you down?" Kade says sharply. "I don't know man. She doesn't look like those gold-digging types. I can just see it in her eyes." Andrew teased. "Watch. I'll show you." Kade got up from his seat, with a wine glass in his hand -- walk e d over towards Noon and Aum's table. Amy, who was watching Kade every step was getting jealous. She thought that Kade was walking towards her. All the girls in the room were getting jealous. It seems like Kade was the attention to every girl in the room. So was Noon to every guy in the room. "Oh my gosh, is he really coming over here?" Aum murmured to her sister. "Who is he?" Noon asked. Aum didn't know what to do so she got up from the table and excused herself to the ladie's room. "Hey, where are you ---?" Noon asked, while looking behind her sister. As Kade was getting closer, he noticed how beautiful she was close-up. He couldn't resist to look at her face. Such beauty, he thought. He was in front of Noon's table. "Excuse me, my friend over there wants to dance with you. But he thinks that you'll turn him down. But I think he's just full of himself. May I have this dance?" Kade asked with a smile. Noon didn't know what to do or say. But she knew she had to say something. "Uh... I can't dance, sorry." Noon told him. Kade, looking slightly happy. "It's okay, I'll show you." He handed her his hand, waiting for hers and winked at her to the dance floor. "C'mon, it's not so bad." Kade grinned. Noon got up from her chair, looking slightly embarrassed, reached out her hand and walked to the dance floor with him. Andrew, on the other hand wasn't mad but surprised, since he knew he'd fell for one of Kade's girl techniques. "That punk, I knew he was up to something." Andrew laughed, shaking his head. Kade held on to Noon's right hand, as he place his other on e behind her waist. Noon didn't know what to do. "Place your other hand on my left shoulder." Kade told her. He was feeling at ease, thinking she was different from other girls he'd met. "So what's your name?" Kade asked. Noon, who was looking down the whole time. "Hey, I don't have anything on my face, do I?" Kade joked. Noon couldn't keep eye contact with him. She was shaking and nervous. Didn't know what to do or why she was that nervous. Kade began to enjoy the moment of seeing such a beauty feeling nervous. He knew she wasn't used to a guy's touch. Still, he wanted to know her better. "So? Are you going to tell me your name or just look at my feet the whole time?" He joked again. Noon looked up to eye Kade and they finally made eye contact. Something was special about this girl, Kade thought. Her eyes are remarkable. Studdering, she told him her name. "Noon Wongsawan..." She told him. "Nice name. Is there a meaning to it?" He asked. She began to feel uncomfortable. Looking across his shoulders, she coul d see Amy on the other end glaring at them with her eyes. It was an a hatred look, evil yet frigtening. "I gotta go." Noon tried tugging her hand away from him. Kade didn't let go, instead he held her closer and tighter to him. "What do you think you're doing? I said I have to go." Feeling more uncomfortable, she looked around to see Aum smiling. "Why are you leaving so early?" Kade asked. "If it's too late to drive home, you can leave your car here and I'll drive you. If you want, I'll have one of my people drop it off for you tomorrow morning." He told her. "No thank you. I have to go. Please let me go." Noon demanded. Kade looked around to see everyone watching the two dance. "Aren't you gonna at least give me your number?" Kade said. "No!" Noon shrieked. "Let me go before I yell." She demanded. "Oh, so you think anyone here will help you?" He laughed sarcastically. He was enjoying every moment of the dance. He pulled her closer to him, to get a good smell. He almost tried to kiss her. "You smell good." He told her. She stepped back; angry. She didn't like anyone taking advantage of her and obviously, this guy was. Noon wanted to leave the dance floor. She wanted to go home. .TO BE CONTINUED!!!! |
