Henry and *King George (They are made up characters).

Chapter 9

"Hello Uncle Dome, Dad." Kelly greeted them as she gave a little bow and walked toward them. She gave
each of them a smile as she looked at their face that now had an idea of what to do about the wedding.
"Hello dear." King Henry said as he stood up and told her to sit next to her Uncle, Kelly did as he said and
sat next to Dome.
"What brings you in here?" Dome asked as he smiled to her, "Can I give my niece that I haven't seen for...
how many years now?" Dome asked as Kelly raised her brows and gave him a quick hug.
"Nineteen years had it been." King Henry answered him as he watched his brother and his daughter have an
Uncle and niece moment.
"Do you have something to tell me dear?" King Henry asked after Kelly and Dome sat back down and went back to the way it was just a couple of minutes ago.
"Um... yes." Kelly started as her hand tremble from not knowing if her father would approve of her
engagement or if he would jump for joy and hug her about it. "Well, I came here because..." She turned to
face Dome as her gaze went back to her father who was now listening closely.
"Because you want to see your father and sister." Dome cut in as Kelly nodded and said,
"True, of course... it is because of you, dad, and everyone else here, but..." Kelly said as she saw her
father's eyebrows raised.
"There's a "But"?" King Henry said as he rubbed his chin again and nodded for her to finish her sentence,
"And what is the but?" He asked.
"But..." Kelly said as she keeps flashing a smile across her face, trying to keep everything smooth and
right.
"Come on now, let me tell you something that will thrill you Kelly." Dome said as he patted the arm on
the chair. "Your father had agree to wed you."
"To... to wed me?" Kelly asked, her face looked confuse thinking if they already knew about her
engagement with Gumpan. "Dad..."
"Yes dear." King Henry said as nodded at Dome, "I have agree to wed to one of my very good friend." He paused as Kelly went silence, but continued when Kelly and Dome didn't say anything. "To King George..."
"What?" Kelly was shock as she froze there for almost a minute and stood up from where she was sitting,
"How... how could you tell... but I..." She couldn't think of what to say of what just happened. "Listen to your father Kelly." Dome said as Kelly suddenly twirled around and stormed out of the room, leaving her father and Dome there. They both looked at each other as if they did nothing wrong or knew nothing about what they just did, but King Henry knew very well and had had second thought about it.

All these years of not hearing about her or sending her a single letter to ask how she was doing and finally now that he had his little girl back again, he was going to wed her off and not even ask about it with her. He had already ruin his relationship with his daughter, the one he never got the chance to know and love. He
shook his head as he sat back down, Dome could see that King Henry didn't like his decision that he had
just made, but here was no choice unless Carmen had any sympathy for her younger sister and comes back
home. Wherever she was, there was no telling if Carmen was going to come back or not, but the wedding with
King George needs to go on.
"Don't worry about it Henry." Dome said as he leaned back on his chair and rested his head back, King Henry
knew that Dome needn't to worry about it, because it was none of his business. He never did worry about
anything or had any sympathy for anyone and sometimes he wonders if Carmen gets it from Dome. But King Henry never thought that he too was a person without feelings, if he had any, he would not wed any of his
two daughter to just any friend of his that are kings. He sighed as he too leaned back and thought about what
he just did.

Kelly's footsteps echoed through the cold stone wall as she quickly made her way to her room, she was
furious and couldn't understand why her father would do this to her. She couldn't even stay down there any
longer that she stormed out before they could talk it over. Kelly closed the door behind her and leaned
against it as her hands clench together into a fist. All these years she had always wanted to meet her
father and see how he was like and now she wished she had never met him, how could he do this without
talking it with Kelly. She closed her eyes as she tried to calm herself down and let out all those
frustration, but she quickly opened her eyes when she heard the knock on her door. Kelly kept silence as she
waited for another knock and this time a soft voice came form the other side of the door.
"Excuse me, my lady." She sounded like the old maid that usually comes in to clean her room; Kelly took a
deep breath and turned the doorknob as she stood there with a smile on her face. "Um, King Henry ask me to
clean your room."
"Why?" Kelly snapped as if he was to send her away right now.
"It's my job, my lady." She answered Kelly as she bent down to pick up the couple of dried up leaves on the
ground. Kelly stood next to the door as she watched the old maid cleaned her room from corner to corner,
she didn't say anything to Kelly and so did Kelly. But if Kelly wanted to say anything, she was probably too
mad to say anything nice right now. "I saw you coming up here..." the old maid said as Kelly lifted her gaze
to her, "You seem mad, is there anything wrong?" She asked as Kelly sat down at the edge of her bed.
"I hate everything here." Kelly said without thinking.
"I don't blame you, your father is a strict King and he does anything that he had said." She answered her
without thinking what Kelly was talking about.
"I love my father but why can't he talk it with me first." Kelly stated as she quickly hit the bed with her fist. "He wants me to marry someone I don't even know, this... this King George." Kelly shook her head
as the maid nodded as if she knew what Kelly was talking about now.
"I understand very well... King George and your father had been quite good friend ever since I came to work for him," She said to Kelly as Kelly sat at the bed wrinkling her nose at the mention of her father.
"I don't want to marry him, I'll run away... I'll go back home that's what I'll do." Kelly said as the old
maid looked up at Kelly.
"Yeah sure, think just the way your sister did and have your father all worry sick again." She said as Kelly's eyes widen.
"What do you mean... do you mean my sister ran away because father wanted her to marry this King George
too?" Kelly asked as the maid had an ironic look on her face.
