"How long have you been waiting?" King Henry asked from behind Kelly as he entered into the room with his hands behind his back.

"Only a couple of minute father." Kelly answered him as she forced on a smile, hoping to keep the happy father that he is right now and not to change his mood while she was having this little talk with him.

"What is it that you have to talk to me about?" King Henry asked as he sat down at his armchair and pointed to a chair for Kelly to sit down. King Henry waited for what Kelly had to say, but Kelly seemed mute for a moment and than she finally opened her mouth to speak.

"Father, I think what you’re doing is wrong." Kelly started as King Henry cut in.

"Doing what is wrong, dear?"

"You know what I’m talking about." Kelly said, "Marrying me to this King George."

"It’s the best for you." King Henry said as he reached for some drink and poured it into his goblet. "I’m your father, I know."

"He wasn’t for me, you have it plan for my sister, did you not? You told her the same thing and that’s why she ran away. She didn’t want to marry King George, why would anyone want to marry such a man like him." Kelly said as she clenched to the arm of the chair so tightly that her knuckle whitens. "No one would want to marry him, he’s old and selfish and… and all he ever cares about is his money."

"How would you know, you just got here?" King Henry snapped as he placed his goblet down.

"A man like him is easy to tell, all Kings are." Kelly replied in anger, before she knew it, Kelly’s head snapped to the side from her father’s slap.

"Never say anything like that again, do you hear me?" King Henry carefully sat back down as Kelly slowly turned back to face him and King Henry could see that Kelly was now holding back her tears.

"I will not marry King George." Kelly slowly said as she turned and walked out of the room, leaving King Henry to sit there as he stared at his palm. The door slammed loud as Kelly disappear from his sight and he shook his head, thinking that he had two daughter and neither of them would do as he want them to.

What kind of a father I am, I cannot even raise them to obey me. I could not even raise the youngest or even had the heart to check on her in America and now this. I have not hit Carmen before and now the daughter that I have not seen in years and I have already slapped her across her face. King Henry thought as he slammed the armchair that he was sitting in, he could not think that he had not been a great dad to these two girls. Sometimes he think that he needed times to be alone and think everything over again, way from the start where each of the girls were born to where he decided to make plans for his daughter’s future, Carmen, and his friend, King George, to get marry. Right now he only wanted things to go right, he had had enough drama going on in his life. Maybe he should think things over somehow. Giving a sigh, King Henry got up and walked out of the room, hoping that when he open his eyes tomorrow or the next day or any day everything would go as plan and C! armen would be back.

Later that night when King Henry sat at his throng like always, but this time he was doing some heavy thinking. Some thinking if he should rethink about the wedding that he was planning for his friend and his daughter. He is the only father they had and he wanted them to be happy, but everything seemed unlike what he wanted it to be. Looking up as he heard footsteps, he saw his brother, Dome, as he walked up to him.

"Brother, why…" Dome said as he pulled up a chair, "Why do you look so down tonight? Bad dream or something?" Dome smiled as King Henry kept his eyes away from his brother and did not say a word. After Dome notice that he must be mad or either just worry, Dome got up to him and put his hand on his brother shoulder. "Are you still worrying about that?"

"Kelly does not want to marry King George, neither does Carmen." King Henry said as Dome pulled his hand away. "I’ve been thinking about my decision." He paused as Dome went back to his chair and sat back down. "Making these choices without asking my daughters first if they want to or not is only ruining my relationship with them."

"But you are the father, the king, you have every right to do whatever you want." Dome interrupted, "And if you are only worrying about the wedding, I have already told you about it. I have everything under control."

"It is not that, brother." King Henry said as he shook his head. "King George is my good friend, he will understand if I tell him about everything and even call off the wedding."

"Call it off!" Dome repeated as he got up, "You cannot do that, you have already send in letters for the important men in town to come and join the meeting."

"Than I shall have to send another letter saying that I have cancel the meeting and that my daughter will not be wed to any men that is not her choice." King Henry replied as Dome mute there for a moment and than nodded at his decision. "You may leave now if you have nothing else to say." He ordered Dome as Dome walked out of the room and disappeared into the long dark hallway.

Carmen lay awake in her wide bed as the moonlight reached the foot of her bed. She had been thinking about what’s up ahead and that tomorrow when she wakes up, the first thing she is going to do is go down stair and tell Gumpan everything and that she is sorry. Carmen had finally felt the guilt of what she is doing, after reading all those letters and learning that they truly loved each other, Carmen didn’t want to do this to them. So now she’s guessing that all the love that she had had for Gumpan was only in her mind, she was only telling herself to when she really didn’t. Maybe she was doing it so that she will forget about everything that was going on in her life and start everything all over again. The girl that she was pretending to be didn’t deserve anything like this, she didn’t do anything wrong to be apart from the one she love. She probably doesn’t even know what Carmen was doing right this second with her fiancé, she was taking him away from her, but now Carme! n was going to give him back. Even though she didn’t know how Gumpan was going to feel or do, it was the right thing, since now she had known that she had gone to far. She than took a deep breath as she rest herself for tomorrow, when she was going to tell him everything and hope that he won’t get angry at her for all these stuff that she had done.
