Chapter 7

Back at Bangkok...I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and panting,I
had that dream again. But this time it was worst I dreamt joni had killed my
mother and took over the palace. I felt a tiny fear that the dream could come
true,but at the same time I felt like my mother would never let that happen.

"Hey hunny ,sleep good last night?" Nuch asked sitting across from me. "Y eah
I guess..." I yawned and nuch looked at me and sighed, "no need to lie priss
I mean I can see it on your face and your red eyes that you couldnt sleep
well." I covered my face with my hands and groaned at the same time Hugo
steped in and sat down next to me. "Hey Priss whats wrong you look tired."
He signaled the maid to come in with his breakfast and started to read the
newspaper. I turned to answer him but faced the newspaper instead of his cute
face. I tapped him on the shoulder but he still ignored me,finally I lifted
the newspaper . He grinned, "well you really want to know whats wrong with me
hugo?" I asked him . "Yeah of course...I mean theres nothing better to do
right?" I got up and ran upstairs, "P'hugo now why did yah have to go and say
that huh , my friend Priss is very sensitive too, and she is a princess so
watch your manners!!" Nuch got up and followed me into my room where I was
laying down crying. She laid next to me and shook my shoulder, "hey priss I'm
so sorry about that my brother such a dork and besides you know how guys are
right? There rude ,selfish and..." I got up with dry tears streaking down my
cheeks I rubbed my nose and sniffed. "Just stop, please... I'm not mad at
hugo I understand that Ive been a burden to you guys,and maybe your right it
is time to go back to Burma,Ive been here long enough." I went to the closet
and got my suitcase, Nuch grabbed me by the hand and stopped me. "Silly priss
noway i'm letting you go little girl,what about joni huh? Your going to force
yourself to love him when you dont?" Her eyebrows slanted , I forced a smile
and hugged her . We both stood there hugging and I realized I started to cry
heavilt on her shoulder.

Hugo was standing by the door way looking at us adoringly but guilty at the same time.

Chapter 8

2 Weeks later... "Okay you guys lets go to the mall now so we can go to that
store that has a sale!!" Nuch paced back and forth downstairs looking at her
wristwatch. I got dressed and took a glimpse at the mirror ,I couldnt
reconized the girl standing in front of me,she had sad eyes with dark circles
and a pale face with pale lips. It was me Prissanna the girl who ran away
leaving her mother and that violent bastard. The girl who was supposed to be
a royal princess in her palace helping the people of Burma. I heard light
footsteps walking towards my room ,I reconized them. The door opened and
there stood hugo in a tommy shirt and baggy pants he looked great. "Hey priss
ready yet?" He looked at me and came closer. I stood there paralyzed
wondering why he was walking closer to me. He faced me and lifted his hand
up, my heart pounded fast. My breath was short and my hands felt cold and
clammy, "you got an eyelash under your eye." he said flatly . "Ohhhh i
see..." I looked away and faced the mirror, still blushing.

At the mall we walked to every store that Nuch liked and when we came out she
had a few bags with her. We stopped to eat ice cream and I just sat there
looking at her eat fastly ,she mumbled that she has too or else the stores
can close anytime. I just shook my head and smiled ,but everytime I looked
hugos way I always catch him staring at me and smiling. "Hey how bout you
and hugo wait for me here and i'll take my sweet lil time in this cute gucci
store?" She put her hands together and stared at both of us, we both looked
at each other and uttered , "uhhhhhh..." "Okay then!!!"she exclaimed.
She ran into the crowded store, me and hugo could see her snatching things
and fighting with some old woman for a scarf she took first. We both shook
our heads and laughed. "Can you believe her she gets into a rage like this
everytime we go to the mall." he leaned on the pole looking at the girls
walking by. I could tell they were checking him out too,so was I ,he turned
to look at me and I looked away quickly. "Whats wrong priss ?" He asked me
laughing , "jeeez nothing hugo nothing at all." I said it in an annoyed tone,
"noo really whats up ,or ..." He pointed to me and made a tisking sound. I
placed my hands on my hips and rolled my eyes, "or what huh hugo?" He grinned
and leaned over to whisper in my ear I backed away. " Unless you gotta a
thing for me ?" He starts to laugh hard, I felt angry that he was laughing at
how I feel about him and that he was playing like he didnt know. I walked
away quickly leaving him to laugh by himself,people stare at him back and
forth he realized he was standing alone.

"Priss come back!! Ohhh c'mon priss I didnt mean too." He grabbed me by the
arm I pushed him and start to head for the ladies room. "Dont follow me okay
I dont want to talk to you right now." My voice was trembling and my heart
felt like knives were being stabbed into it. I walked so fast that I couldnt
see a fat lady coming my way with a baby carriage. She bumped right into me
and the stroller fell . The baby was lying on the floor crying as the lady
picked it up. I stood up rubbing my elbow which was bruised already, she
looked at me in a disgusted way . "I'm soo sorry miss I didnt mean to
really." I helped her pick her bags up but she brushed my hand away and
started yelling at me.I stood there embarassed I could feel the blood rushing
to my face.

Hugo rushed over and took me by the shoulders. He appologized to the lady and
quickly took me to a bench nearby . I was still shocked and embarrassed a
whole crowd gathered to see it,in Burma this would have never happened. "Are
you okay priss what happened back there?" He looked at the crowd that was
starting to disappear. I looked at him still clutching my shoulders
protectively that I forgot that I was supposed to be angry at him. He rubbed
my elbow as I looked at him in a tranced stare, "Man it sure is bruised badly
priss I think we better go downstairs to the supermarket and buy some
medicine." I got up ," its okay hugo i'm fine just dont worry about me." "Why
? Why cant I worry huh when ..." He trailed off and turned around,I faced the
opposite way , "when what hugo? When I'm some kind of burden for you right?"
I asked. "Noo prissanna it isnt that I cant tell you...not now ." He took me
by the hand and looked deeply into my eyes that were moistening. I felt safe
and warm with him ,I wanted it to be like this forever not to face reality
that hurts so badly.

"You know hugo ,I know it might sound strange but I feel ...well how can I
say this I feel really..." Before I could get the sentence out,Nuch comes
running over with 8 bags in both hands. She put her bags down and breathed
hard, "Thanks for waiting and I mean it in a sarcastic way too." She walkes
off to the escalators ,me and hugo followed her holding hands secretly so she
wouldnt know.

Back at the house...

"Look at all this stuff I got isnt it pretty priss??" She held up a soft
lavender tank top with white rimestones that writes Guess?. "How much did
this cost anywayz Nuch?"
I touched the soft material and examined it. "Well dont tell hugo but it
cost 800 baht!" I gasped and let go of the shirt , "its not cute anymore Nuch
it cost too much ." She pouted and put the shirt back into the bag then she
got out another shirt that said Gucci on it but this time in black and it was
long sleeve. I laid on her king size bed and stared at the ceiling, I couldnt
stop thingking about what did happened at the mall between me and hugo are we
friends? Or is it more then that,if it is I dont know what to thinkg or do.
Nuch waved her hands in front of my eyes and called my name twice ,but I
wasnt paying attention until she slapped me hard across my face playfully. I
got up whinning "what now nuch I'm kinda busy." She put the shirt aside and
grinned, "busy doing what thinking about a certain someone?" She giggled.
"Noooooooo... I wasnt." I started to blush ,she took me by the face and
laughed , "hey I didnt know asians can blush!!" She said jokingly, she got up
and went to the bathroom to freshen up. When she came out she was in her new
wardrobe and was ready to go out again. "Where are you going little girl?" I
asked her, "well if you must know I have a rendezvous with a cute guy at this
nice restaurant." She fixed her hair in front of the mirror , I looked at her
and felt happy to see that she could like anyone in the world and her parents
wouldnt disapprove of it . I sighed ,she turned away from the mirror and got
her purse. "I'm going to come home late so you behave with p'hugo okay and
dont mess around." She ran downstairs and hugo was sitting down at the couch
playing video games. "Hey where are you off to huh? Its late already." He
paused the game and glared at her. She stuck her tongue out and left without
an answer, I came down a few minutes later with my hair braided up in my
t-shirt and boxers. Hugo looked at me and got up, "hey do you know where Nuch
is going cuz she just left without an answer and I'm worried about her." "She
said she was going to go meet some guy at a hotel near RCA." His eyes got big
and he boomed out saying, "What the heck dont kid around are you serious?!
Cuz if you are I'm going out to get her back and how come you didnt stop her
huh?!!" His face got all red and he was hyped up ,all I did was laughed and
clapped my hands. "OOOOOHHHH jeeeez hugo nice performance , hahahaha ,you
shouldve seen yourself, I'm just messing with you she's not at a hotel but at
a restaurant happy?" I smiled and he came closer ,"you better be kidding cuz
I was going to say..." "Say what huh?" I asked him. "Ohh nuthing forget it."
He went back to his game and I followed him. "I hate it when guys are not
straight forward ,I swear guys are soooo ignorant." I said flatly and rolled
my eyes,he turned off his game and sat next to me. "How straight forward do
you want me to be priss?" I got nervous and started to regret what I said
bout guys, he placed his hand on mine . "What are you doing hugo?" As if I
didnt know but truly I did, "well you want me to be straight forward right
then I will be." He grinned and kissed me on the cheek, I pushe him
accidently and he fell to the floor. I covered my mouth with one hand ." Omg
I'm sooo sorry I didnt mean to,well I did...but...oh forget it!" I ran
upstairs and I could feel him following me, I was in the middle of the
stairway when he grabbed me by the waist and looked me in the eyes. I felt
like hugging him smelling his colonge anything to be near him like right now.
I felt hot and uncomfortable. We stood there for a few minutes until I looked
away and got out of his hug. He stood there looking at me in a way Ive never
been looked at not even joni looked at me like this. I stopped walking to my
room and hessitated. But I couldnt take it anymore its now or never, I ran to
him and hugged him . He was suprised that he fell back dragging me down with
him. "Prissanna...Phom....well I think we should." "Should what?" I asked
him. Our lips came closer to one another ,and I didnt backed away I knew it
was wrong but my emotions were soo strong for him. DING DONG!!! The door bell
rang. I got off him and went to see who was there, I went outside and the
heat of Bangkok struck my face . I couldnt make out who the girl was standing
in front of the house but it wasnt Nuch. I went closer to take a better look
. She was tall ,around 174cm and she had a long slender face and she was
skinny,her hair was cascading behide her back and it was pretty. She looked
pale but pretty . She looked at me angrily but curiously, "Hi who are you
here to see?" I asked her in a sweet tone she just stood there and tiptoe to
see who was in the house. "Hello? Did you hear me I asked who do you want to
see?" growing impatient I just opened the door and let this stranger in, she
walked in quickly as if she knew the house well. She looked back at me and
smiled , "ohhh thanks are you the new maid?Thats why you dont know who I am."
Her voice was full of money and her face was lifted high. I walked over to
her and gave her a bitchy look . "Nooo I dont know who you are but you got my
title all wrong I'm not the maid I'm a guest." She starts to laugh, "Guest?
4realz well my mistake I'll tell you who I am my name is aump pacharapa and
I'm hugos girlfriend."

Chapter 9

Back at Burma

"Joni are you ready to go to Bangkok anytime soon ?" One of his friends asked
while drinking beer.The music was up loud and joni couldnt make out aword his
punky friend was asking. "HUH?!" he yelled , he was having a party to
celebrate the so called wedding that was going to take place between me and
him, as soon as he finds me. "Joniiiii drink some more sweety." A girl sat on
his lap she flipped her curly hair and smoked a ciggarette. Joni took the
drink and finished it in one gulp,he then picked the girl up and spun around
laughing. The girl screamed playfully and tilt her head back enjoying the
high sensation of the drug in her ciggarette. "I'll be leaving tomorrow
...Florence,whatcha gonna give me for a going away present huh?" He asked her
in a sexy tone,she winked and leaped down. She went over to her Prada bag and
opened it,she waved the clear packed in his face. When he tried to grab it
from her she took it away and laughed. "c'mon give it too me Florence I need
it." He said getting frustrated,she dropped it on the floor and joni picked
it up smiling evily to himself. "What are you going to do with it joni? I had
a hard time getting it and your just gonna take it to use yourself?" She
grinned and went to lay on the love seat. "Nope babes not for me...for
somebody else." "Who? I want to know!" She whinned and stomped her feet down
,joni came and sat next to her tracing her lips with his finger he hushed
her to be quiet. She sat up and kissed him hotly. "You know Florence when I
get that little Priss back and kill her dumb mother, you can move in the
palace with me." She jumped up and yelled to everyone the news.

"Khun maah krup I'm going to Bangkok to find priss tomorrow and I make a
promise to find her and bring her back here." He said firmly. My mother sat
with her head held high and a hankershief in her hand ,her eyes were swullen
and red but she still had a graceful appearance of a queen. "I trust you joni
bring nong Prissanna grup maw hai dai kow jai mai?" She placed one hand on
his shoulder joni got up and left.

Chapter 10

"Hey hugo I missed you soo much and I have something for you too." Aump
slipped her hand in a bag and got out a black nautica t-shirt. Hugo looked at
it and smiled, "thanks nong Aump but you really didnt have too." He looked at
me at the same time while saying that, I was standing in the kitchen
pretending not to pay attention.Aump looks at me and rolled her eyes ,
"P'hugo kah who is that girl and why is she in your house?" She had her arms
around his. "Ummm thats my sisters friend and she's not just a girl nong'Aump
BUT ! She's also a princess from Burma." He said proudly ,Aump placed her
head on his shoulder and sighed,"Well I dont care if she's a princess or
whatever she doesnt have the right to be all over you!" Hugo looked at Aump
and took her arm offof his and got up. "Nong Aump krup I think you got it all
wrong your the one who's all over me not priss." Her mouth opened wide and
her eyes grew angry as I walked in . She got up , "well looks like your
special arent you." "Actually you know what I am!" I answered her and walked
upstairs. She shrieked as I was heading to my room . "Priss...I'M sorry about
nong Aump she's still young and doesnt know manners well I guess." He
scratched his head nervously and giggled trying to make me happy. "Look Huog
what you do is none of my bussiness and if Youll excuse me." I opened the
door to my room and steped in half way and looked at him. His eyes were sad,
"Priss just give me one minute to explain okay?" I looked away my eyes
started watering I kepyt on looking up to prevent my tears from falling.I
didnt want him to see me weak. "There was something betwwen us before she
came and interupted." He said quickly, "No Hugo I dont think so and if you
are wondering still if what you feel for me is true then for me I'd have to
say..." I pondered and he took my shoulders, "say what?" He smiled,
"Goodnight Hugo..." I slammed the door in his face and stood there my back
against the door,feeling the barrier between us seperating us apart.
